Can Malaysians run nuclear power plant?

Picture of Malaysians

Of course we can. Malaysia Boleh!! This is an encouragement statement stating that every Malaysian is capable to achieve any tough mission.
For your information, Malaysia has ambitious target to set up it's first nuclear power plant by 2021. Currently, eight locations on peninsular Malaysia are identified for the nuclear power plant construction. A nuclear power plant is usually built near water reservoir such as lake and seashore. It is possible to set up nuclear power plant in Malaysia due to geographical suitability.
Besides, economy condition of Malaysia is quite impressive. Economy condition of Malaysia is better than nuclear user countries like North Korea and Republic of Iran.  In 2008, GDP per capita (PPP) of Malaysia stands at US$14,215, ranking it 48th in the world, and 3rd in Southeast Asia which is higher than North Korea and Republic of Iran. Based on economy situation in Malaysia, Malaysia is capable to run nuclear power plant in the near future. Currently, Prime Minister of Malaysia encourages the use of green technology in Malaysia by introducing incentives and put high allocation on green energy sector. Nuclear is one of the green energy.
Besides, there is quite numbers of nuclear experts in Malaysia. These nuclear experts are currently studying and researching nuclear technology as a safe new source of power. There are also organizations that support the usage of nuclear energy in Malaysia. One of the organizations is ''The Nuclear Malaysia Agency'' which is the leading agency to coordinate and manage the planning, preparations and development for the use of nuclear energy. Let's hope that these nuclear experts with the help of nuclear-based organizations make Malaysia's ambition comes true.
In addition, there are also high learning institutes in Malaysia are underway to offer nuclear engineering program in their campus. This is a crucial step to birth nuclear professionals. Besides, UNITEN (Universiti Tenaga Nasional) is currently offering a nuclear course in College of Engineering. Let's hope that all these efforts will help and boost the set up of nuclear power plant in Malaysia.

Hopefully, a nuclear power plant is built in Malaysia soon!!

  2. @Lim

(GDP)is gross domestic product or gross domestic income (GDI) is a measure of a country's overall economic output. It is the market value of all final goods and services made within the borders of a country in a year. It is often positively correlated with the standard of living. The higher GDP the richer the country.

    thank you

  6. In order for our country to prepare for nuclear energy is that we should practice ourself with proper education and ethical values. With proper education, human errors can be minimized, with ethical values, the possibility of misuse will significantly reduced.
