Nuclear Talk Review. Harry Potter Syle (Part 2)

Harry, Ron, Hermione and Lord Voldemort are stunned. The demonic presence of Lady Gaga seems to immobilize them. No forms of magic could harm her because she’s the one doing the harming and despite being witch and wizards, there’s nothing they could do. A nuclear bomb is much safer than this abomination.

Ron : Arghh! This is scarier than spiders!

Hermione : Scarier than not getting A for exams!

Harry : Scarier than Dementors!

Lord Voldemort : Scarier than my mom!

Hermione : Enough! I won’t stand for this! Though I might hesitate to use the Unforgivable Curses even on Voldemort, I won’t with this one!

Harry : Me too!

Ron : Me three!

LV : You go girl!

In union, Harry, Ron and Hermione for the sake of mankind unleash their power to kill Lady Gaga.

HRH : Avada Kedavra!

Lady Gaga : Don’t call my name, don’t call my name Alejandro. Arghhh!

And Lady Gaga drops dead.

Nuclear Talk Review. Harry Potter Style

So ... it seems we’re destined to meet again ... oh alright!
FYI, my classmates and I had to go to this ‘Nuclear Talk’ the other day (Friday, 9th October 2010) held at my college (UNITEN! Woohoo!) by the ‘Malaysia's Nuclear Agency’. So for this entry I’m gonna give a review on that talk.

Let’s make it more fun shall we? People, introducing:

Book 8 of the Harry Potter saga (unreleased apparently)

Harry Potter and the Stone, Chamber, Prisoner, Goblet, Order, Prince and Hallows (take your pick) of Nuclear

MIDF positive on Malaysia power sector

MIDF Research has maintained its 'positive' stance on the power sector on the launch of the projects under the Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) for the power sector.

In its research note, MIDF said under the ETP, the government has outlined three major areas -- deployment of nuclear energy, solar capacity build-up and the development of hydropower.

It said Tenaga Nasional Bhd would become the major beneficiary.

"It will remain the dominant force in the development of renewable energy, and this will bring more positives than negatives to the company.

"We do not expect a major shift in its business fundamentals anytime soon, with the exception of an impending tariff review," it said.

MIDF said overall, the ETP would have a neutral impact on the sector, given the fact that the gestation period for the benefits of renewable energy to be reaped was rather long. - Bernama

p/s: nuclear will be our source of energy to generate electricity in the future =)

Nuclear power is viable

4 October 2010

I REFER to "Public not consulted on nuclear energy plan" (Letters, Sept 27). The decision by the Merkel government to go ahead with the plan for extending the operation of 17 nuclear reactors in Germany 12 more years was not well-received by anti-nuclear movements. Beyond that obvious effect, however, we need to look at the ramifications of that decision in a different light.

CAP: Nuclear plant decision lacks public feedback

September 24, 2010

GEORGE TOWN, Sept 24  — The government’s decision to have a nuclear plant by 2021 has met with strong opposition from the Consumers Association of Penang (CAP). Its president Mohammad Idris said his association was “very disturbed” to read that the government has already decided on the proposed nuclear energy programme although “it lacked genuine public consultations”.
“We recalled that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Abdul Razak has indicated in his 1 Malaysia blog following public outcry against adopting nuclear power plant that he would like to obtain public opinion on the matter,” he said in a statement today.
